(Wanted please)TTR250Raid or Older TTR OE
Permalink

Hello- I now have a Raid and need another one or an older OE...

I'm not too worried about the overall condition or if it has or does not have a current MOT.

Proof of ownership is however essential.

Area (Location) is not important- I have a friend with a van or if it is lawful to ride...the sheer stupidity to ride it back to York!

Thank you in advance

Rod

Because that one is marked up in kph, 100 kph is similar to 60mph, prob a euro one. Expect the v50 only used to do 40mph Max! By the way Rod the guy selling this ttr has just posted it on here in the for sale section..

Strangely i just bought one for another project...  Mine is in MPH.  There are only 4 digits in the odo ..  Looks like yamaha didnt expect the step throughs to do more than 10,000 miles

I might consider selling my Raid. I've recently bought it and the V5 is in my name. I'm not sure I want to get rid of it yet, but if I did I'd be looking for £1800 for it to clear what it owes me. Probably too expensive for you but let me know if you're interested.

Rich.

Taken from the ttr250 FAQ pages : How much should I pay for a TTR250? In the UK, older "white" TTR's resell for between £800 and £1,400 with blue models in good condition costing £1,800 upwards.

If you just cant justify selling your raid that low then I say keep it and make the most of it. smile

Pete,

Yes, it's higher than the figures you quoted but I've priced it to take into account the insurance hit I'll take, fees for cancellation, a few new bits, associated motorcycling stuff that becomes redundant etc. etc.

The reason for this is that I wouldn't be looking to replace it; I'd effectively be giving up motorcycling by selling it; so there are costs associated with this that I'd like to cover that I wouldn't be incurring if I was getting something else.

Rod may be desperate for a Raid and he might think the price is worth paying. If not, then that's fine. It's a lovely bike and I'm happy to hang on to it and I'll definitely make the most of it!

Rich.
