Clutch and rough running issue - diagnosis needed!

Wondering if someone can advice me:

Bike is hesitant on low partial throttle openings but fine when revved more

pops and crackles when you let go off throttle

requires a few goes to start with button

stalls often when idling

Also the clutch is not acting correctly, it is very snatchy like and on off switch and very noisy (makes a squeaking noise when you pull away

Thanks.

The rough running at low revs sounds like a blocked pilot jet so whip your carb out and clean it up including the choke plunger. Perhaps your clutch plates are worn then, maybe check them too..

Pete is spot on regarding the pilot jet which is the most common cause of slow running issues on the TTR.

Regarding the clutch, check the adjustment as shown here otherwise it's a strip down to check the plates for wear or damage.

THanks guys, would the pilot jet explain all the symptoms or does the carb need other attention?

Yep. Perhaps you have crud all around the choke plunger too and that is why is slowish to start..
