I wanted to know if people prefer the standard silencer? Does it really restrict the bike?

i am asking because for greenlaning I much prefer being as quite as possible. I have an FMF Q which I find if pretty fruity...

the standard silencer appears to be the quietest pipe for the TTR Does it work ok?

I don't like alienating other people on the lanes either, my crd can with the baffle in makes it sound a little bit more thumpery but without being too obtrusive. I've never rode mine with the standard zaust so I cant really say but most people say it makes the bike rev up more and get going a bit better by putting a aftermarket can on.

My TTR came with the standard exhaust and a FMF power core 4. The Power core 4 was way to loud and I tried various ways to make it quieter but failed so I sold it on.
Then I modded the standard exhaust ttr250.activeboard.com/t60104713/standard-exhaust-mod/ , I was quite happy with it until this exhaust came on eBay and I thought I'd give it a try. ttr250.activeboard.com/t60286245/exhaust-againwhite-brothers-e-series/
With this exhaust, modded airbox and a rejet it's made quite a difference, it revs faster and feels much more responsive and above all it just seems to run nicer all round.
