Australia to Ireland on a TTR250
Permalink

Hi team,

I am writing this post from Pakistan, having ridden 20,000km here on a TTR250. I am with a WR250 and KL250. We already have a website so I won't bother copying and pasting everything over. Just go here:

www.21horses.com

www.facebook.com/twentyonehorses

The webpage includes blog and bike build and reasons for choosing a TTR.

That's a photo from Australia. Now she looks like an extra from Mad Max.

Hi Brian, I would call her running, not fixed, which is the best we could do with just an 8,10,12&14mm on a dirt sidewalk in India. Your right - we did break all the gaskets and I am having to carry around a few spare litres! For now wifie has me sorted by sending a gasket kit to Iran from Aus. But if that gets hampered (looking more likely) I'll give you a shout for a kit to some eastern European state maybe. For now I'm trying to limp the next 5000km...

Thanks also to the website - the guides are a good resource when on the road.

Much admiration. Loving the pics. Think if I was going to do any kind of distance on my TTR I would have to upgear it, stick a decent screen on, and put on a airhawk touring seat, and change the tyres!..

That's nearly exactly what I did Pete, plus a bigger fuel tank, some home made panier racks and a 12v outlet.
