uneven brake pad wear

The front wheel was out to repair a puncture and I noticed that the inner brake pad was badly worn but the outer brake pad had plenty of meat on it.  What causes the uneven wear?

the caliper is not free on the pins it slides on...
replace the pins & rubbers they slide in...

If it's the out side pad it would most lightly be
a sticky piston....

Found the culprit. A small stone wedged in the calliper! Stripped the calliper cleaned, small amount of rubber grease on slidey bits, new pads and brakes bled, job done!

I have had my front caliper get stuff stuck in it before and make a god awful noise. The stuff has usually cleared from pulling over though.
