It may seem to be a faff but it would be a bigger faff when the chain saws its way through the swinging arm for lack of a slider. biggrin

Mine had plenty life left in it when I rebuilt the bike but how many miles do they normally last, roughly ?

Since doing the "how to" web page, I have replaced a couple of sliders without loosening off the swing arm. It takes a bit of effort to push the slider into place and requires bending out the bracket holding the sidestand switch to allow the fixing bolt room but, nevertheless, is doable biggrin
