2005 Model Frame Paint Colour
Permalink

Hi

Does anybody know the paint colour or code for the frame for 2005 model? Just stripped everything for a good clean and have an overwhelming urge to touch frame up!! Nothing bad just a few scuff marks etc  smile

Many Thanks

Steve

Think the general consensus is to use Holt's Austin Rover Tahiti Blue Pearl code CBM160 . Its a very close match, you can get a little touch up bottle of it on eBay for £3.49.

There is also a Frame paint thread here ttr250.activeboard.com/t44175341/matching-frame-paint/ Deep purplish blue solid E looks like the official one, but pricey :)

No worries! I gave the back part and underneath of my frame a little going over a while back, there were a few places with surface oxidation, I sanded the spot rust back and touched up.

Did you go for the Holt's Austin Rover Tahiti Blue Pearl code CBM160, or the Deep purplish blue solid E ? I need some to touch up mine :)

I never bothered to paint the boot rub marks, it doesn't seem to rust there so I thought bugger it, I try not to bolt on unnecessary things and make it too heavy either, pulling it out of sinking mud is hard enough!!!

B&B make really good frame guards, I have them on mine, the right side one protects the foot brake master cylinder as well, they weigh next to nothing

The paint is pristine under my frame guards, can't say the same for the rest though !
