high rpm missfire

Hi All

Hello from the frozen UK

!993 import TTR250 i have owned it for 5 year+ and it has never ran right and till now has sat in the back of the shed.

It has a high rpm missfire its okay for the first few minutes of warming up but once you drop the choke and it reaches operating temperature I get the most incredible missfire.

I have so far:

Had it compression tested

changed the loom (wires were badly damaged and had rubbed together starting a small electrical fire)

Changes the coil, Ht Lead, Plug Cap and plug

renewed every part of the jets on the card including needle.

I cannot decide if it is electrical or fuel.

Anybody else had a similar problem?

Now its the new year i would actually finally like to ride this bike!!

Hi have you checked the condition of the carb stub they get brittle with age and the rubber can split .if youve had the carb off a few times it may have damage .Its a guess but an easy fix .points to a rich mixture are you running standard jetting and needle position im sure if you post up what u got other members will offer advice .
