Freshening up the plastics

Hi there,

Wanting to replace the white vinyl stickers on the side covers and headlight surround

Its been a hard year for the ttr and he needs some freshening up!

Does anyone sell them? Do I need to make my own. If so what do people recommend and has anyone got any templates I can copy. Or do I need to make my own templates.

Also for the front fender, I thought I would replace with a WR250r one. Is there a particular year I should buy etc that all the holes line up?

Whats the best one to go for. Mine is a 2006.

Questions questions.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers Leigh.

These are what you are looking for!

You will find that the after-market WRF/YZ mudguards would be a whole lot cheaper than the WRR one. If you stuck with the WRR mudguard then the holes would be the same for all years.

Hey that's great. Exactly what I'm after.

WRR is just the first that came to mind. Wrf etc don't mind.

So it doesn't matter what year I purchase? Do the wrf or yz holes line up with the ttrs?

Thanks again

Leigh

I use 06-14 YZ WR mudguards and the holes line up fine. £16 GBP each retail.

The last one I fitted needed a couple of washers so that the rear didn't rub the frame - see here and my post of 28th September for pics.

Pic below shows WR/YZ mudguard below a genuine TTR one:

Does that mudguard fit a white OE as well, what about rear fender and sidepanels? Are there alternatives for these as well?

Hi Ken

Yes - the 06-14 YZ WR mudguard will fit your TTR. The white OEs and the Raid all have the same mudguard fittings as the blue TTRs.

It is possible to buy the after-market mudguard in white but if you get stuck let me know. £16 plus courier - they are too big to go by Royal Mail.

I don't believe there are after-market side panels or rear mudguards either in white or blue - only genuine Yam ones will fit the TTR. If anyone knows different then please post up the details.
