Good find Martyn - you going to be first to try it?

I wonder if it could be used to repair a broken float pin support on the TTR carb confuse

I like that, could be great for thread repairs, fill hole, re-drill and tap new thread .

I haven't had a lot of joy with it. it has its uses but is no substitute for welding in many cases. i am not sure what material the carb is made from. Many are zinc magnesium alloy so may not be compatible with the rod. Maybe worth a go on an otherwise scrap carb.
