I bought a Raid with a damaged engine to use as a project but have decided that I have enough projects backed up already so I am breaking it for spares.

Should have my TTR the weekend and i'll need a heat shield for the down pipe, do you have one ? If so ill email you for a price when the bike gets delivered.

Yes. They get damaged plus can be lost if the retaining screws work loose no

New ones are a silly price at £57!

A very rare item. The first I have had in for many years!

A complete Raid headlight with flyscreen. Working bulb.

A few scrapes as you can see in the pics. 

It will also fit the blue TTRs and gives a great improvement especially useful if you ride at night or early morning wink

The rack and grab rails have been blasted and powder coated and look pretty good biggrin

I had the rack and grab rails done at the same time so that they are exactly the same colour so I am selling the rack and grab rails together.

I am asking £90 plus carriage which I think is reasonable as there was a minimum charge of £36 for the powder coating plus I made two trips from Exeter to Cullompton to drop it off and collect it.

The rack will fit the white and blue OE models but the side panels will need a bit of trimming. I know this as my brother Trev fitted Raid grab bars to his OE.

It's nearly Christmas so, go on, treat yourself wink

Hi Kim 

Yes, we still have the tank from the Raid that we are breaking for spares - see photo below. 

However, it has had a bit of a clumsy repair at the RH bottom as you may just be able to see in the photo. The previous owner was using the Raid daily up until he blew the engine so I am confident it is not leaking however, bearing in mind the high cost of shipping to Australia, I am reluctant to send over a tank that is less than perfect!

Is yours beyond repair?

Hi Brian,

 

Thanks for getting back to me. 

My TTR has the standard tank fitted with nothing wrong with it. With the long distances between stop in Aus I'm looking for some to increase the range of my bike without adding too much weight high up on it. I've seen that many have fitted an Acerbis XR tank to their bikes with some adjustments necessary. I've been hunting for a Raid tank for a while. 

Do you know the approximate cost of sending the tank to Aus?

Is it possible to communicate privately on here?

The 16 litre Raid tank is £40 and the shipping to Australia is a massive £70!!!!  Total £110 cry

It's the size of box that costs. Up to 14 Kg can go for that price!

Is your TTR a Raid model with "pods" rather than side panels?

Just finished stripping out the Raid so now have the frame for sale. Complete with V5C - "N" registration. Manufactured 1996 - registered in the UK on 7/12/99.

Ready for shot blasting and powder coating. Perfect basis for a restoration. 

£99 inc carriage to UK mainland addresses
