Interesting. I have a similar, though quieter squeek. Mine also only seems to happen when well onto the afternoon of a days ride. When the bike cools... no squeek.
I've replaced the linkage bearings as per this thread...

ttr250.activeboard.com/t49135773/linkage-bearing-replacement-fitting-an-all-balls-linkage-bea/

There was certainly some stiffness in some of the bearings so they needed doing anyway. But the occasional, only when hot, squeek remains. Out tomorrow. I will have a small can of lube spray with me. I plan to just spray one bit at a time to try to work out the source. We'll see!

Loosen the top bolt when you do it. And don't do it back up crazy tight. Just tight enough.

just a thought:
maybe instead of ordinary WD40 you may try silicon lubricant spray ? I used one on my car door seals (rubber against metal) without damaging and messing oil all around.
I can't get the English link from the official Bardahl site. To give an illustration , here are FR and BE links.

http://www.bardahl.be/produits/diverse-smeermiddelen/139-root.html

other brands should be way sheaper and easier to find in your area.

Over tightening the top shock bolt causes the rear end to Squeak Squeak...

My old TTR was Squeaking like that (got worse the longer the day went on) I loosened the nut slightly (still making sure it was not loose and could fall off) squeak went away, dunno what the torque setting is for it but people that crank them right up are idiots they don't need to be really tight

 Hi Martin

Sorry to disagree but the top shock bolt should be done up tight.

The shock moves on the bearing not the bolt and spacers. If left loose then it may allow the shock to move on the bolt and spacers and cause damage cry

Any squeaks will be coming from the bearing usually indicating it is dry. Spraying in a lubricant to soak the felt washers may help if enough is sprayed to get some leaking from the felt washers onto the bearing surface.

Brian
