Hi Andy

The photo is a bit blurred and am not quite sure what I am looking at. confuse

Can you identify which number on the pic below is involved please?

Whichever it is, none of the bolts are tack welded on like that so I am guessing the previous owner did a bodge no

thanks for response - yea was thinkin same .Pic is of hole thru side of swing arm of head of pin 47 on your diagram.

The grease nipple is missing.

If I attempt removal and it all goes t*ts up is the uk ttr swing arm same as raid? Rest of bike in remarkably good cond considering age

Cheers

Andy

There should be a raised section in the swing arm that holds that end of the pin and stops it turning when you do the short bolt up on the other end. That probably got rounded off and the weld was to stop it turning.

If you find that you do have to replace the swing arm then it might be worth considering replacing it with the lighter aluminium swing arm from the OE. You would need the longer OE axle bolt to go with it though.

Good luck with getting that pin out!

Brian

it's definitly welded...
best way to get in there to grind the weld off
would be a die grinder with a carbite burr in it...

Die grinder = air powered dremal
