i still have the ugly big read end on my TTR and would like to know if anyone has an idea how I can make it look better?

The simplest solution is to saw the bottom off just below the number plate fixing and then put a small circular stick on reflector on the corner of the number plate.

It's obviously not a reversible process so be aware that a replacement is a few pence under £40 retail bleh

I made this one from some mild steel I had going spare. Includes a couple of led lights for the plate. Got bent a few times but it responds well to a mallet!

Right so I found an old number plate hanger down the shed. It was  from my old Yamaha WR450 06 model. I thought instead of cutting my original TTR one I will modify the WR one and see if I can get something neat and tidy. Its a lot less bulkier than the TTR one.I used the standard TTR number plate llight and managed to get a nicer look at the back by tucking it under the rear fender rather than it sticking out. I have holes for indicators but I only use mine for green laning so I am not fussed about indicators. I am proud of my blue peter attempt and it didn't really need a lot of modification just a few holes drilling and a little bit of trimming in places....
