image.jpgI'm in the middle of putting my clutch back together after hearing a slight rattle in there somewhere. I can't find anything wrong so putting it bac together.

The manual says to align the punch mark on the pressure plate to the mark on the basket?

i can see the punch mark on pressure plate but not on basket?

Any advice?

As you can see in pic the basket has multiple marks all round it lol

That's odd. I have checked my workshop manuals and can't find the reference to punch marks confuse

What section of the manual did you find it in please?

Brian

Ahhhh - the pic explains it. That's not from a TTR250 workshop manual and the pic is of a clutch from another bike and not a TTR250 so forget about the punch marks - that doesn't apply wink

Valve clearences are :-

Inlet 0.09 ~0.17 mm

Exhaust 0.19 ~ 0.27 mm

Well, they are for my 2000 model TTR.

How's Sunderland these days Dave, a bit damp? smile

Thanks Martyn same specs as my manual says. Was worth double checking though smile

not to sure about Sunderland but it's been a nice enough day . I rode from my garage in jesmond down to blanchland through the greenlanes upto slaley forest, then after playing in there for an hour or so I rode up a68 to otter burn then up the back roads towards rothbury to settle down in my caravan :)

not a single bit of rain all day which is a shame really , lanes are better when there really muddy lol.
