Hi all, I've been a watcher of this forum for some time, and learned a lot!  Thank you all.

I own a (almost new) Blue TTR250 2003 which has been parked home in Canada for too many years. I live abroad for work and ride a few bikes, and I find myself with too many bikes not enough time.

Upgrading it in many ways with great stuff and some kind assistance from Brian has convinced me to turn it into a low speed, low cost, low maintenance and low loss adventure bike (in case anything go wrong) for traveling the less developed countries.  The bike was bought new for my son in 2004 a few months before he decided to go back live with his Mother. The TTR only has 170 km on the clock, and it needs love as you can imagine. Upgrading the bike and starting it every year when I get home to help my folks out sort of became a hobby with time, but I'm sick of it, I'd like it to just start so I can hit the trail when I'm in Canada but no, the carburetor needs affection each time.. So I'm going to make this light adventure thing real from December on, or else let the bike go. I actually never had a chance to really enjoy it to its potential, but somehow I'm so much looking forward to it!  Cheers!

Finally got the thing going, right on adjustment and nice time of the year to explore around!

It's actually a very fun and agile bike to ride. Loved it!  I still have to install the bash plate and other stuff.

Just off Quebec City, great rides out there, more than 17'000 km off pavement options!

Unfortunately I only get to ride there now and then as I work abroad and have little time for myself when I get home.

Those leaves got me in trouble more than once, hard to know whats underneath.

Fantastic decor however! Fallen trees are real buggers though... but they force a stop to admire, nature of course.
