Wanted - hub for rear wheel
Permalink

I have a wheel where the outside of the two bearings has been turning in the hub and its not practical to repair it and its too sloppy to even try Bearing Fit cry

If anyone has a good hub please PM me.

I don't need the rim or spokes so if you have a damaged wheel with a good hub that would be great biggrin

Hi pug

I had thought of doing something similar but assumed it would be very expensive. Do you know what it might cost to do that work please?

The hub is all stripped out now and was going to be thrown away.

It's a one or two hour job for a man with a lathe like most thing's you would be looking at £30 -£40 pound a hour at most workshops you want a man with a lathe in his shed who will do it for a tenner. i have the shed out back of the house with a lathe in it but im eye ball deep time wise for two weeks but hay ho if you drop it round with the center spacer an new bearings an i will see what i can do. i will email you me number if you are in no rush an want me to have a look. [ it's the worse time of the year for me all the last one off bit's an bob's people wanting to finish off there winter re-builds]
