Thank you for the comments guys. The views from the mountains are stunning!

Some of the old tracks up to the mountain tops can be challenging but nothing the 3 TTRs in the group couldn't manage wink

If you had 'no trouble' with some of the tracks that you showed, then I would say that it is as much a tribute to your skill as to the suitability of the bikes! Beautiful vistas. Photos of trails have a tendency to flatten out the slope. Some of yours still look impressively steep.

I see there is a few wild animals out that way that like to attach themselves to the front mudguard- They are savage looking! biggrin

Wow, great landscapes must of been a pleasure to ride in such open landscapes!

To Jarrah's comment it looks like it not just the front mudgards that wild animals attach themselves to, also something on faces!

Cheers, Michael

Sadly the open riding is gradually being restricted by fences and the Irish version of SSIs cry

The "animal" on my front mudguard is a leprechaun that would play "When Irish eyes are smiling" whenever I had an off disbelief

Unfortunately he didn't like my treatment and brought us bad luck with several hard crashes starting from the first day he came with us. It took us a little while to work out that he was the culprit so we gave him back to Ireland and installed him in his own little cairn on an Irish mountain top after which things returned to normal smile

Oh yes! Access got a bit dodgy a couple of years ago after a surfer's van reversed over and killed an American holidaymaker cry

However, the guys that went over this year (Mrs TTR politely suggested another week off wasn't on after my 3+ week road trip in the States so I didn't get to go) did have a run up and down the beach and didn't get nabbed by the Guardai smile

Here is a pic from a previous year - my TTR parked neatly in the foreground wink

They don't have the complicated sort of RoW legislation we have. It seems that the locals ride wherever it doesn't say private!

There are some sensitive SSI sites to be avoided but none of those in the area we rode in.

We have some Irish members so I would be interested to get their spin on it wink
