Should be good...
Hope you find a better way to hold it on than what B&B use..
It's a royal pain in the a$$ with the 2 half loops they use
at the front... the rear left side one is no issue...

I am glad it isn't just me that find those B&B "water pipe" fittings a real pain to get in place
Markvan's fitting points look a lot more practical
I love the shape of the B&B Offroad bash plate but the fittings do leave a bit to be desired. I used rubber on the ''pipe mounts'' so it didn't rub the frame.
I cannot see what Brian is talking about as mine has the mounting point as shown in Markvan's picture with the M6 bolt. Can't see any mounts for the front, but hopefully it will be a better design?

I am sure the BB bashplates I have seen had pipe clips that fitted over the bottom rails rather than the more sensible side fixing with the bolts as on yours
The skid plates here in the US all use those pipe clamps too.
They are such a pain I ended up welding a small plate with two studs, across the two cradle tubes, right where they meet the main square front down tube. I still have clamps in the back but I would like to weld on side tabs like the B&B to get rid of all the clamps altogether. I also used some slit heater hose to cushion all the mounting points.
I do like the tottally ttr's bashplate. My currency converter from 90 pounds UK
to auzzy dollar says 159 dollars. Do you think thats close. Maybe a price delivered
to Tweed Heads Australia. 2486. Thnx.
Shipping to AU is ludicrously expensive for the bashplate - £44.50 - making the total £136.50.
It's the size rather than the weight that puts the shipping price up but there is plenty of spare for any other parts to be included in the parcel which would effectively be shipped "free"
How about something like this to sort your front end mount Mark? It means you only need a flat surface to drill two holes in to attach the bashplate to the bracket
I have put an M8 bolt in just to show the scale of the bracket which attaches to the bracket at the bottom of the frame tube.
I am pretty sure they were made out of stainless and are quite well put together. I have a few of these surplus and one could be yours for the cost of packing and shipping
My recollection is that you have to be careful putting a right angle bend in a short section of ali as it has a tendency to fracture so be careful on bending up the side mounts. I have an alternative to the dreaded pipe clips that I will post up later.

Brian
Sorry for the delay - I got waylaid by other jobs but here is the promised pic of a possible alternative to the dreaded pipe clip that some owners find so annoying
The clip goes over the frame rail but I can't recall in which direction i.e. whether the bolt was inside or outside the rail
My guess is that it would have been inside in which case, if I was going to use these clips, I would probably put a nut underneath the top of the clamp and really tighten it up so the bolt doesn't fall out when attaching the sump guard.
I got a couple of these spare if they are likely to be of use?
I emailed B&B Offroad Engineering to see if they can rectify the problem, so all you Australians keep your fingers crossed. I hope they get this issue sorted soon as I need a bashplate for my WR400F.

I heard back from B&B Offroad today, they have an order of front brackets on the way from the laser cutter. I got quoted AU $20.00 each, anyone who wants them contact B&B Offroad, they will have them available shortly.
Yay, finally a change in mounting, and to think that I had something to do with it, AWESOME......

Recevied brackets from Brian. (Thank you ) Front one already mounted on the frame. Think i will have the only checker plate bash plate around. Side protection yet to be done as i couldnt take the TTR to the welder and had to do it in sections with my cardboard cut outs.
