Just changed the plates thanks for all the info everything back together but have found a small ball bearing where was that from or is it just on the garage floor ?!

 It just goes in the hole in the middle of the clutch basket/boss that the push rod sits in (see below)

OOps!      confuse

Could it possibly be the small ball between the clutch push rod pieces??

Does the clutch work and is it adjusted correctly?

That bearing sounds like it came out from your clutch lever assembly.  ROD, PUSH 2 . Part number 28 in the diagram. If it's not working it's the reason.
