Fitting a blue plastic tank on an '93 Open Enduro

I had an email from Sean Perkins who has just fitted a few farkles (see PS) to his TTR inc. a blue plastic tank we sourced for him. Here is his email and pics. I think the tank suits the OE very well!

The tank bracket was a simple bit of steel bent to the right width for the tank mounts that came off a TTR that I broke for spares - see here - it had previously been welded to the frame. Sean's pic is self-explanatory.

Hi Brian and Trish,

Thank you so much for my recent purchases. As you said, the lowering link was easy to fit with your excellent instructions and the seat and tank are brilliant. The bike feels so much better now and well balanced.

I fitted the tank bracket using  a TeK self tapping bolt and it's worked well.

I will send some pics via my iphone. Please feel free to use them on the site.

Thanks again for your help.

Sean Perkins

PS Farkles are all the gadgets and mods you add to a bike.

Farkle = gift for your motorcycle. Some gifts can be Functional - some can be Sparkle

Put the two together and you get Farkle biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Wow - impressive bit of kit and a neat looking TTR. wink

It must be satisfying to have such a contented and pleased customer.

Farkle is new to me. I see on the local TRF forum a mention to "farkle" which is referring to an American gizmo:-

CLICKY THINGY

A tad OTT for trail riding but an ingenious solution to a particular problem.

That's a neat farkle bar - to hold all your farkles when there isn't room left on the bars biggrin

I would like to fit some graphics to my blue plastic tank TTR I still have the white plastics (which I would like to keep) the normal graphics dont go with the different colours and I dont like the moto cross (monster etc) ones.

Does anyone know any other suppliers/ graphics that would suit?

Many thanks.

Sean.
