This is what a complete standard toolkit should include (shame Mr Yamaha got the size of the wheel spanner wrong - it should be 24-17mmno):

They are stashed away under the left-hand pod, Jarrah.

Fitted between the lugs on above the footrest.

Mine obviously fell off before I got the bike, biggrin but it's been that reliable I've never needed them anyway. aww

Hi Adam

As I said in my PM I have 2!

I have 1 complete, as per Brian's picture minus the rubber strap that keeps it in place on the bike and

another that is the box, the vinyl bag, the pliers, the 2 spanners. (I'm keeping some of the tools from the second)

What happened was that I bought a kit, for a Serow and paid almost £30 in total. Sold the Serow and bought a TTR, which had 1 too.

If you want the box because it fits the bike well I'm your man

If you want a complete tool kit, to finish off a bike I can help too

Mark

Hi, I do have a strap, send me a pm with what you want for them, I don't mind not having a complete kit because I will add my own and get a wheel spanner from totally ttr's!

I know the US TTRs don't have the mounting points for the toolkit. Not sure about the Australian ones - be interested to know.

If you are having trouble, here is a list of bikes that use the same tool box. Bear in mind that the tools may vary for the spark plug spanner etc. but you only need the lid anyway- http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-4GY-21107-00-00.html

The TT600RE and the WR250 uses the same tool box too.

The part number for the tool box is 4GY-21107-00-00, unfortunately the lid does not have a part number and is not available to buy separately AFAIK.

For others- the tool kit strap part number is 120-82131-00-00 and is used for various items on numerous models- http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-120-82131-00-00.html

I already found a TTR250 tool kit on eBay. It only took a year lol. no

Enjoy!

Jarrah

Thanks Jarrah, but unfortunatly it is not the same, I wish it was!

The UK toolbox has an angled bottom with a hole for the locator on the subframe to go in.

Looks like the US model is different :(

mine is an Australian ttr and has the same tool kit as Brian has in the picture . held onto the brackets on the frame as shown .

haven't used them yet on the ttr but on the mates XR and RMX ,also carry a stash of tools in the back pack as the Yamaha kit isn't very good

Well all I can say is- stop wishing and start finding. I think that your problem is that you are not searching the correct year model(s).

The AU toolbox has the same angled bottom with a hole for the locator on the sub-frame .

There is no US TTR250 tool kit as there is no mounting point.

Once again- If you are having trouble, here is a list of bikes that use the same tool box. Bear in mind that the tools may vary for the spark plug spanner etc. but you only need the lid anyway- http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-4GY-21107-00-00.html and THEY FIT!

The part number for the TTR250 tool box is 4GY-21107-00-00 and all of the above bikes use it!

Just thought I would waste my time as you will probably say they don't fit again. It is obvious that they do from the part number. no

This is the Mountain Max 600 for an example-

Here is Mountain MAX 600 on eBay for a better visual- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-MOUNTAIN-MAX-600-TOOL-CARRIER-/350281351365?pt=Snowmobile_Parts_Accessories&hash=item518e6540c5
