The Road to Mt Hay...or...There And Back Again  no

These were all taken on a small side track I spotted.

Don't ask me what this thing is ??

An amazing small and gnarly Little Gum

I think it looks like someone trapped inside a giant condom, or maybe a pod from the Movie, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers ?

Termite Mounds all over the place

A huge Gum Tree at the end of the track

I came through here somewhere ??

Back to the main road and this huge slab of stone with a stand of tortured gums in the forground, nothing nearby to give it scale though

Another huge slab of stone with the TTR in the bottom corner

Finally at the end and the amazing views, a little to hazy to really get the full effect

Hope you enjoyed the picks

Yes it's my new home made rack

Version 2

Keep your eye out for a post with some better picks, it works really well and sturdy

Wow amazing terrain, I am in Canberra and we have some nice stuff in the Brinabella Mtns near hear but nothing like those "huge slabs of stone" as you call it. If you don't mind giving away the location would love some directions/coordinates to perhaps trailer up the highway and take my TTR into that glorious scenery for a day or overnight camping trip.

Cheers, Michael

Unfortunately Michael, Steve has not logged on since Feb 28, 2013. no

It would be good to hear how the #52.5 pilot jet and other goodies that I sent to him went? confuseWhere are you Steve?

Hi Micheal, well you posted at an opportune time, I'm just getting back into the TTR after some repairs / mods etc...

Here are the coordinates you wanted

This is the small side track I took
33°39'7.64"S
150°23'18.33"E

This the the beginning of the road, its name and location
33°42'40.88"S
150°20'7.29"E
Mt Hay Road, Leura

If you do come to the Blue Mountains, you should contact me and I will show you some of the sights

That goes for any other Board Members that want to have a ride around the mountains

Cheers

BMSteve
