hi

just joined the forum, and am looking for a TTR (have posted on the wanted page), its been a while since i've been off road and that was mainly the odd jaunt around a field on an old 250ER Suzuki.

The last time was an impromptu trip on the Triumph Tiger taking a shortcut whilst in Spain, not that i'd reccommend it with full touring luggage!

The TTR seems perfectly suited for my return to dirty weekends!

cheers

Rob

Welcome to the forum Rob and good luck on your TTR hunt wink

Low mileage TTRs do come up occasionally and I am sure you are checking eBay but its also worth checking some of the classifieds that are on line such as Bike Trader - click here for an example.

Hi Brian

thanks, I think I might need some luck.... there was a nice 250 on e-bay, which looked very clean, for 1350 but was sold within a day.

I've seen the one on biketrader, which may be worth a look.

prices do seem to vary quite a bit tho. I wonder whether £1850 is a bit much for the condition/spec?

cheers

Rob

I am sure the seller will consider a sensible offer wink

In terms of value, a friend and I have bought a pair of TTRs between us and, by the time we have added transport costs, they will have cost £5k. This is for low mileage well-cared-for TTRs. One is a 2004 and the other a 2005. They do come with some tasty extras though biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

IMO
The TTR on bike trader seems priced ok ish, if near enough to you I would certainly have a look etc
Money spent on it, low miles, bash plate fitted, wrap around handguards fitted.

yeah, its definately worth a look, its not a million miles away. I guess I like to leave a bit of leeway on the price so that if anything needs sorting out then its not too painful financially.

When you look at some old ads, its always the way that what has already been sold, has more than what's currently on the market?

Also, as you say Brian, then there's always some tasty extra's required.

i''ll keep you posted on my progress

cheers

Rob
