Hello, all.

I just purchased a 2,000 TT-R250.  I am hoping that this will be a good all-around off-road bike for me.  Besides showing very well, it is also has a street license--not very common in California.  So far...I really like this bike.  The bike apparently sat a great deal, so it seems that the carburetor is a bit gummed up, as the bike runs a bit rough, right now, and it is particularly sensitive to cold and moist air.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll get it all sorted out, and this site seems amazing.  I feel like I've learned quite a bit just browsing around, already.

Nice looking TTR, LRJ and welcome to both of you.  smile

I see yours is the US version since it doesn't have a kick starter or rear footpegs. hmm

I wish you success in your muffler search and carburettor cleaning.

Martyn

Thank you for the welcome.

You probably already know, then, that it also didn't come with a speedometer (I just replaced the 1,000 mile tripometer with a speedometer from an XT225 off eBay.), or turn signals or a horn.  The previous owner added those.  The U.S. owner's manual states that this motorbike is for off-road use, only.  Too bad, I say.
