Oshan, have you investigated this page on the TTR250FAQ page?

Brian has supplied the bits to a local rider and also (I think) fitted a kick starter to one of his bikes. smile

The article explains all the details and you will find that it mentions the requirements for you to fit a kick starter to your TTR. wink

It is a nice easy upgrade. I have fitted them to my brother's and "Bouncing" Bob's Open Enduros and they are easy to fit and do what they need to do wink

I still have some dual start blue TTRs tucked away in store that I brought back from Spain earlier in the year. I haven't been able to look at them for a while being very busy with other projects. They will all have kickstarts fitted. If I decide to break any of those for spares then a few more kickstart kits will become available.

Brian

Right chaps, here's the plan!:-

I am currently in India and I believe I have found a current specification Yamaha that appears to use the same bottom end as the TTR. That bike too does not come with a kick-starter. However, I know for a fact that a kit is availble to be fitted as an optional extra on a new bike. The good news is that the kits are quite cheap!

What I propose is this: If I can find a willing volunteer, I will send over the afore mentioned kit FREE OF CHARGE! You see if you can successfully fit it and, if so, then you pay for it at cost price, plus postage. Does that sound fair?

Once we've confirmed that that the kit fits, then I'll start selling them on Ebay!!
