I just had a quick look at eBay and there are a lot of new listings from the US for tank, wheels, swing arm etc. Very very cheap compared to UK prices. Shame shipping and import VAT etc to the UK would kill a deal I guess there will be an increasing number of TTRs in the States being parted out and it can only ge...
Hi guys Ive decided to let my TTR go. This year ive spent all my ride time on my Tiger 800XC and the TTR is just sitting abused in the back of my garage Its a 2004 blue plastics model, circa 12k miles, new polisport light and mini indicator conversions. Quite a bit of history, great tyres, bash plate and has j...
Hi everyone! Just got a 2004 (3rd owner) for a trail bike mainly because of the reputation of outstanding durability the bike has. I am having a small issue right out of the gate. The engine starts fine, idles fine, and overall seems to run decently except when I crack the throttle off idle to wheelie ove...
G'day everyone. Does anyone have experience in repainting the plastics ie tank/side covers etc? I was told by a local dealer that you can't repaint the tank because of the type of plastic from which it is made. Is this correct?
Hey guys, So the time has come to recondition the engine of my 99 blue model TTR that I bought 6 months ago (it was a cheap fixer upper, although it still goes really well, it blows heaps of blue smoke and uses more oil than a two stroke. I am a novice at repairing anything, but with the workshop manual a...

As the topic suggests i have four valves & springs for sale... These i replaced only because i was unsure if i would be able to find a head with good valves but i ended up not needing them. Although i still used the new ones & kept these. They were removed from a 2005 model TTR250. This is a pic of the h...
The tidy up and clear out continues!I have three used LH side panels for sale (no RH ones - sorry!) as shown in the pics below.Panel 1 is in very good condition - £30Panel 2 has some scratches - £20Panel 3 is a bit rough and has been sprayed in blue metallic. Just been doing a bit of research on wheels that will interchange with TTR250's and I think I have found a suitable match. I am still uncertain but it all seems that WR's from 1992~1996 will fit TTR's. Whether or not special spacers would have to be made is anyone's guess, but so far so good. I am hoping so...
Just spent some time on this rainy Sunday morning in the uk changing my tyres for a nice set of mitas what difference it makes had MT43's on there, makes the bike look a lot nicer Tyres do change the look of the bike after and before

Whilst out this weekend I couldn't make a climb for love nor money (they all did)and a mate who is a damn good rider couldn't either (on my bike). So I had to ride a long way round After much de...
I am having a bit of a tidy up and trying to make some space! This tank came with a load of OE spares I bought. The previous owner was going to renovate his OE but, in the end, gave up the project and sold his TTR and all his spares. He had repaired the usual leak spot with fibreglass and it looks a strong repair -...
Hi I have just joined the forum and have been having a good look round for sprocket/chain info but haven't found anything that matches the setup on my bike. It's a 1994 Raid (4GY3) with an 18T front sprocket, 57T rear sprocket and what I take to be a 428 -134 chain. The chain needs replacing and I guess I s...

The 2009 bike that was very rough when purchased was missing the top bracket for retaining the front brake hose. I purchased a bracket locally (Australia) but am I am unsure just how it should be fixed to the triple tree clamp or what a round hole in it is for. Refer to photo. Your help will be greatly appre...
Has anyone got either (or both) of these brackets they would like to sell please? Maybe you have changed your headlight and have the brackets tucked away somewhere Please PM me if you can help. Many thanks Brian
Its maybe a a copy of a GYTR tailpipe. I was going to try and repack it but when i pulled it apart it was impossible with out cutting a weld i think. Also the porferated inner pipe is only 70% the length of the muffler. Think i will take it to a muffler shop and see what he reckons. -- Edited by Cubber on Friday 2...
